Department of History

Introduction:

The Department of history was established in the year 1993 and the subject was taught to the undergraduate classes. At the beginning period department executed with Mr. A.G. Ambhore as only faculty member. Thereafter Dr. G.P. Bhalerao joined as a second faculty member to the department from August 1995. Both faculties developed the department and augment the strength of students opting for History course..

Aim:

• The aim of department of History has not only giving good knowledge of History but also cultivates spirit of patriotism and a sense of national integration among the students.

Objectives:

1. To create historical awareness among students..
2. To provide historical information and to unfold the hidden history of this area..
3. To encourage or promote the students in research activity.
4. To provide guidance for various competition examinations.
5. To make awareness among the students with History of various nations.
6. To update the knowledge of students in history.
